From the very start, Matt was destined to achieve amazing things. Adopted from South Korea at the age of 4 months, Matt grew up in Newcastle Australia, and began an incredible journey of self discovery and awareness. At the age of 12, Matt was given his first guitar for Christmas, and it was at that moment he knew this was the tool he would use to express and escape life through.

And who would have thought that Matt at the end of 2008, would play over 200 shows, toured around Australia and be signed with a Major Recording Label overseas? A 21 year old who is continuing to impress and connect with his audiences through his smooth vocal, brilliant guitar work, personality and testimony to match.

Matt's writing and performing capabilities has seen him achieve what many older musicians strive for, releasing debut album "Goodbye Tonight" at the age of 16, Nominated for "Best Young Artist" in 06 ABC Awards, and single "Hypnotised" played daily on Foxtel Music Channels. His second album "Remedial View" nominated for Pop, Rock, Alternate and Young Artist awards in Newcastle's ABC Awards 07, the track "The A Song" being used for the 24 Hour Film Festival Television advertising.

Influenced by the likes of acoustic pop artists John Mayer, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Pete Murray, Matt's music is both "refreshing, fun, and heart warming" that will leave you counting your blessings more than your bruises.

Matt also speaks and performs in schools all around Australia with "Your Dream Seminars", which encourages students to live their dream for their life. His heart to encourage his generation to not give in has seen hundreds of people inspired to change for good.
